Strawberry Kiwi Kool-Aid

A throwback with a tropical twist.

Servings vary; makes 1 pitcher

INGREDIENTS

Infusion Method:
  • 750 ml Siesta Key Silver Rum

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, halved

  • 1 cup kiwi, peeled and sliced

  • simple syrup, to taste

  • lemonade, to taste


Quick Method:
  • 750 ml Siesta Key Silver Rum

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries

  • 1½ kiwis, peeled and sliced

  • simple syrup, to taste

  • lemonade, to taste

PREPARATION

Infusion Method

Combine the Siesta Key Silver Rum, strawberries, and kiwi in a sealed container. Refrigerate for 4 days to allow the flavors to infuse. After 4 days, strain out the fruit.


For every 2 oz of infused rum, add ¼ oz simple syrup and 3 oz lemonade (we like Simply Lemonade). Freeze until slushy and enjoy!



Quick Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.


For every 2 oz of rum and fruit mixture, add ¼ oz simple syrup and 3 oz lemonade (we like Simply Lemonade brand).
