Makes 1 drink
INGREDIENTS
2 oz SK Distiller’s Reserve
⅛–½ oz orange infused simple syrup, adjust to taste
1 dash orange bitters
1 dash Angostura bitters
cocktail cherry, for garnish
PREPARATION
In an Old Fashioned glass, build the cocktail over ice and stir vigorously. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.
*For the orange simple syrup, you can use a store-bought version or make your own:
In a pot, heat equal parts sugar and water until the mixture thickens to a syrup consistency. Peel the oranges, avoiding the pith (white part), and place the peels in a mason jar. Pour the syrup over the peels (use 1 orange peel for every 20 oz of syrup). Steep for 1–2 hours, then remove the peels. Store the orange simple syrup in the mason jar in the refrigerator for up to one month.
