INGREDIENTS
2 oz SK Distiller’s Reserve
1/8 oz to 1/2 oz *Orange Infused Simple Syrup
1 dash Orange Bitters
1 dash Angostura Bitters
PREPARATION
In an Old Fashioned glass, build over ice and stir vigorously. Garnish with a cherry.
*Use a store bought Orange Simple Syrup or make your own using the method below:
In a pot heat equal parts sugar and water until the water evaporates and thickens to a syrup consistency. Peel orange(s) and avoid the pith (the white part) as it can be bitter. Place orange peels in a mason jar and pour in syrup (use 1 orange peel for every 20 ounces of simple syrup). Steep for 1-2 hours then remove the orange peels. The orange simple syrup can be stored in the mason jar and refrigerated up to a month.
