Hot Buttered Rum

All the warmth of the season in one sip—authentic Christmas in a cup.

Makes 4 drinks

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Siesta Key Spiced Rum

  • 2 cups boiling water

  • ⅔ cup packed dark brown sugar

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg

  • ⅛ tsp ground cloves

  • pinch of salt

  • 4 cinnamon sticks, for garnish

PREPARATION

In a bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt until smooth and well combined. Stir in the Siesta Key Spiced Rum and boiling water until the butter mixture dissolves. Divide the buttered rum among four mugs, garnish with cinnamon sticks, and serve.
