Cucumber Jalapeño Rum-Rita

A perfectly balanced infusion of cool cucumber and fiery jalapeño!

Servings vary; makes 1 pitcher

INGREDIENTS

Infusion
  • 750 ml Siesta Key Silver Rum

  • 2 cucumbers, peeled and sliced

  • 1 jalapeño, sliced and seeded

*This amount of infused rum will make approximately 10 drinks.


Per Drink
  • 2 ½ oz cucumber jalapeño infused Siesta Key Rum

  • 1 oz simple syrup

  • 1 oz lime juice

  • cucumber slice and jalapeño slice, for garnish

PREPARATION

Infusion

In a glass container, add the cucumbers and the 750ml bottle of Siesta Key Silver Rum. Seal and store in a cool, dark place for 3 days. Add the sliced jalapeño and let infuse for an additional 12–36 hours, depending on the desired heat level. Strain out the cucumber and jalapeño before using.


Per Drink

Mix the cucumber jalapeño infused rum with the simple syrup and lime juice. For best results, let the mixture rest overnight to allow the flavors to meld.


When ready to serve, add the mixture to a shaker filled with ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a glass and garnish with a cucumber slice and a jalapeño slice.
